We’ll meet you, on your arrival at Mt Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) or Arusha Airport. Then take you to your accommodation (The African Tulip). After some refreshments we can spend some in Arusha; visit the Cultural Centre and shops.
Then dinner, the next morning we head to Tarangire National Park.
What’s included – meals, wifi, transfers, accommodation and dinner
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll take a short drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is filled with Baobab trees. Among which we hope to spot the Big Cats, lions, cheetahs and leopards.
The forested valleys and open savannah plains also support a large elephant population, giraffe and buffalo.
After a full day at Tarangire we travel to Karatu for our overnight stay at Farm of Dreams for dinner.
Today we’ll visit Lake Manyara famous for the myriad flamingos that line the shore of the lake and also for its tree lions.
The dense forests here make the area quite unique to other parks in Tanzania, which are more sparsely vegetated, which means that this area supports a very large population of baboons.
We spend the night in the ‘Farm of Dreams’ for accommodation.
Serengeti National Park is listed with Unesco World Heritage as one of Africa’s top safari destinations.
Its savannah grasslands and acacia trees are home to Serengeti’s famous lion prides, elephants, giraffes and antelopes.
This is a luxury tented camp, which places you in the middle of African safari experience.
We’ll spend the day exploring the Ngorongoro highlands heading the crater. This region on account of its height is much cooler than most of Tanzania.
We’ll spend the night at Serena Lodge which takes pride of place in respect to the most spectacular views of the crater.
Ngorongoro Crater spans approximately 264 square kilometres, is 19 kilometres (12 miles) wide, and its height reaches between 400 and 610 metres (1,312 and 2,000 feet), that’s 1.5 times higher than the Empire State Building. The view from the outer-rim will take your breath away.
This ancient and now extinct volcanic caldera has created a unique, self-contained eco-system which has become home to over 30,000 animals, which graze and hunt within its grasslands, forests, lakes and wetlands.
The rich volcanic soil, supports the prolific growth of the short-grass plains, which attracts a diverse range of herbivores. These big herds in turn attract a remarkable number of predators – arguably the densest populations to be found anywhere in Africa.
Consequently, the lion population flourishes within the crater. Competing with other predators such as spotted hyenas, leopards, jackals, cheetahs, and bat-eared foxes, which share their habitat.
East of Lake Magadi, in the shallows of a soda lake you will find hippos lolling about, at Ngoitokitok Springs and Gorigor Swamp enjoying the refreshing cool of these waters by day.
Ngorongoro Crater is a marvellous bird watching location also, home to over 500 species like the ostrich, kori bustard, secretary bird, and greater flamingo.
After spend a night at Farm of Dreams Lodge we’ll take you the airport of your choice.
